Vanitas Series
April 28, 2010Happy Easter!
April 4, 2010Exams, Vanitas Photo Series etc.
April 3, 2010I have to admit that I wasn’t very creative during the past months because my head is too full of pressure about school etc. and this prevents me from doing or getting ideas for new compositions. My final exams are getting closer and closer: on 15th April it’s going to start, so there’s only left about 1 3/4 weeks which means I have to cram with Maths, German literature, English short stories and cultural studies as well as with Music scores. I’m really happy when it will be over on 22nd April! Well, not everything will be over then. I still have to write some other “normal” exams and pass the oral examination in Geography… but I don’t think about that too much for now. I want to give another announcement: For art lessons in school we have to do a photo series about Vanitas/Transitoriness of at least 3 up to 12 images. I think I will pick 6 different notions with their negative opposite and picture these contraries with the suitable subject. Perhaps there’ll always be some elements which are repeated in each image like a string with a paper note, clocks, flowers etc. By the way, I have been interviewed by Peter Halim from somethingwelike.com – the article will be published ( here: http://www.somethingwelike.com/inspirational/chitchat-julia-rohwedder ) on 22nd April. At the moment the link doesn’t work yet…
